John Falldine, Managing Director John returned to Dallas in July of 2007 to serve as Managing Director of Edgemere. This was somewhat of a homecoming, as John had previously served Edgemere as Director of Operations from 2001 to 2004, assisting in the opening of the community. He moved to Houston in 2004 to open and manage our sister community, The Buckingham. John has 14 years of experience in many areas of retirement living, including assisted living administration, building operations and consulting services. Since his return to Edgemere, the community has twice earned the prestigious Greystone Diamond Award: recognition of excellence given annually by Greystone Communities, Inc., a recognized leader in senior living development and management. John earned his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University in 1987 and completed his Masters in Business Administration at St. Leo University in 1999. |

Teresa Bates, Assistant Executive Director Teresa was named Associate Executive Director of Edgemere in April of 2007. She served as administrator of The Plaza Health Services at Edgemere for five years, where she was responsible for the overall supervision of our health services center; she provided direction, coaching and evaluation of managers; she also collaborated in the development of policies, procedures and departmental operations’ structure. Prior to joining The Plaza Health Services at Edgemere, she served as administrator of Brentwood Place One and Brentwood Place Two. She holds a M.S. degree in operations management from the University of Arkansas, and a B.B.A. degree in finance from Southern Arkansas University. |

Mark Blankenship, Maintenance Director Mark joined Edgemere in 2005 as Maintenance Director, bringing to his position 19 years of maintenance experience. In late 2006, Mark was appointed chairperson of the Plant Operations Task Force for Greystone Communities, Inc. In 2008, Mark was named to the Plant Operations Task Force for Senior Quality Lifestyles Communities (SQLC) projects in the state of Texas. |

Diana Chavez, Assisted Living Manager Diana has been Assisted Living Manager for The Plaza at Edgemere since January of 2008. Previously, she served for 3 years as an Assistant Director of Nursing at The Plaza. Diana has been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for eight years. Her nursing experience has been devoted to the senior living industry. In addition, Diana has experience with adult daycare and long-term care. |

Dane Cummins, Director of Food and Beverage Dane has been a Dining Service Director in senior living for 17 years. Dane opened Edgemere in 2001 as Dining Director and served as a chairperson for the Dining Service Task Force for Greystone Communities, Inc. In June of 2008, Dane was asked to lead the Dining Service Task Force for all new Senior Quality Lifestyles Communities (SQLC) projects in the state of Texas, overseeing development of new kitchens and equipment and working with Dining Service Directors at other SQLC communities currently operating. |

Ben Daw, Director of Security Originally from the New Orleans area, Ben has more than 25 years of security, management, and customer service experience. He has been in private security and the retail industry since 1982, including a tour of duty as a Security Specialist in the U.S. Air Force in the mid 1980s. Ben moved to Texas in 1999 and was Security Supervisor for Beal Bank for more than five years before joining the Edgemere team as Director of Security in February of 2008. |

Charles French, Executive Chef Chef French joined Edgemere in May of 2008 as Executive Chef. He received his certification as a chef de cuisine from the American Culinary Federation, and brings more than 24 years of diverse experience in the food services industry to his new position. Prior to joining Edgemere, Mr. French served as executive chef for the Sheraton Hotel & Casino in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is responsible for a wide range of dining services, including menu planning, ensuring food quality, catering events, and hiring and directing the kitchen and wait staff. |

Maria Garcia, Director of Operations One of the earliest staff members of Edgemere, Maria participated in the opening of the community as Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Department until 2006. In 2007, she was promoted to Director of Operations/Resident Services. Maria has years of experience in the hospitality business, serving as Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Rooms Manager in prestigious hotels such as the Hyatt Regency Dallas, Hotel Crescent Court and The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. |

Bernastine Hammond, Housekeeping Supervisor "Bern" serves Edgemere as Housekeeping Supervisor. Before joining Edgemere, she worked for six years as Housekeeping Director with Lambeth House Retirement Community in New Orleans, Louisiana, another community developed by Greystone Communities. Bern also served for eight years as supervisor at The Crowne Plaza Hotel. |

Lorraine Kendrick, Lifestyles Director Lorraine joined Edgemere in April of 2002 as Lifestyles Coordinator of The Plaza at Edgemere. She was promoted in October of 2006 to her current position, and handles a comprehensive program of resident events and activities. Following her years of self-employment and working in the corporate world, she joined a geriatric teaching and long-term care facility affiliated with the St. Louis Medical University in St. Louis, Missouri. During that time she earned her Activity Directors Certification. |

Tori Mallad, Director of Marketing Prior to joining the on-site Edgemere team in 2008, Tori was a Regional Marketing Manager for Greystone Communities, Inc., based in Irving, Texas. In that capacity, Tori was instrumental in helping open Edgemere in 2001. In addition to guiding the marketing efforts of Edgemere, Tori has had extensive marketing experience with other retirement communities, traveling nationwide to work with communities in various stages of development. A Kansas State University graduate, Tori has more than 14 years of expertise in the senior living industry. Previously, she worked in marketing and advertising for United Methodist Homes, Inc., and GlynnDevins Marketing and Communications, an advertising agency specializing in senior living. |

Pam Martinez, Director of Nursing Pam began her 30-year nursing career in Illinois in a long- term care facility where her mother was Director of Nursing. She subsequently worked in Labor and Delivery for ten years , serving as Department Manager for six years. Pam was Director of Surgical Services for seven years, than followed in her mother's footsteps and became Director of Nursing for a long-term care community. She has been a Director for 14 years and has had nine years of deficiency-free surveys. She joined Edgemere in December of 2004 and has become a Certified Assisted Living Manager and Director of Nursing. She earned a Licensed Practical Nursing degree at Sauk Valley College in Dixon, Illinois, in 1978, and became a Registered Nurse in 1980. |

Katheryn “Kat” Pigott, Director of Human Resources Kat joined Edgemere in June of 2009, bringing with her 10 years of experience in Human Resources and related fields. Kat has had a positive, significant impact on the Human Resources departments where she has served. Her career includes positions as Human Resources Manager and Technical Resource Manager for Adea Solutions and Managed Staffing; and as a Benefits Manager for iGATE Corporation (NASDAQ: IGTE) and its subsidiaries. She has gained deep experience in the unique challenges of working with large multinational organizations. She is also certified in HR Management and is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Kat is actively involved with Kenna's Kids, a charity she and her husband founded in 2007 that helps children with medical illnesses. |

Debi Trainor, Accounting Manager Debi has been Accounting Manager at Edgemere since February of 2007, having been promoted from the Billing Specialist position that she held from March 2005. She originally hails from Chicago, Illinois, but moved to central Illinois in 1993 where she began working in the Accounts Receivable area of the long-term care field. Twelve years and two skilled nursing facilities later, in February of 2005, she and her husband moved to Plano, Texas. Debi received bachelors and master's degrees from the University of Illinois at Springfield. |

Diane Wheeler, Administrator at The Plaza, Health Services at Edgemere Diane, a Licensed Healthcare Administrator, joined The Plaza Health Services at Edgemere in May of 2008. Previously, Diane served as administrator of The Villa at Mountain View from 1997 to 2008. During her tenure, this community achieved a deficiency-free state survey five times. This health care provider named Diane Administrator of the Year in 2003 and in 2005 in recognition of excellence in service and healthcare management. Diane received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Letourneau University in Longview, Texas. She is a member of the Texas Healthcare Association and American College of Healthcare Administrators. |
