Charles B. Brewer, President
Mr. Brewer serves as president of the Edgemere board of directors. He holds both an undergraduate and law degree from Southern Methodist University and is a former United States Marine Corps company commander and prosecutor. He is the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Southmark Corporation. He also serves on the board of directors for two other publicly held companies and as a court-approved trustee for a litigation trust.

Bernie Francis
This 25-year resident of Carrollton, Texas, and University of Texas at Dallas graduate is chief executive officer of Business Control Systems, Inc. He was elected to the Carrollton City Council three times, appointed by former Gov. George W. Bush to serve as a regent for the Texas State Technical College and is chairman of the North Central Texas Workforce Board. He is a member of the Dallas Citizens Council and Dallas Chamber of Commerce.

Craig E. Sims
Mr. Sims has longstanding ties to Texas. He graduated from Baylor University and holds a master's degree from Trinity University in San Antonio. Among his many honors and achievements, he received the Circle of Excellence Award as Outstanding Chief Executive Officer three years in a row and the Who's Who in Health Care Industry award from The Dallas Business Journal. Professionally, Mr. Sims most recently served as senior vice president and chief operating officer at Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton and RHD Memorial Medical Center in Dallas. In addition to serving on the Edgemere board of directors, he also lends his time and service to the Dallas/Fort Worth Hospital Council and a number of other foundations, clubs and boards.

Allen M. Hicks
Mr. Hicks holds a master's degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Iowa, and has committed his life's work to the field. His professional experience includes over 46 years in the industry, with 14 years as chief executive officer at hospitals and medical centers in Illinois. Locally, he worked as senior adviser at the Voluntary Hospitals of America, Inc. in Irving. In addition to serving on the Edgemere board of directors, Mr. Hicks serves on numerous civic and volunteer boards, including Kawanis, Salvation Army, the USS Indianapolis Memorial and Central North Civic Association, just to name a few.

Henry S. Miller, Jr., Board Member Emeritus
A Dallas native and World War II Army officer, Mr. Miller is extensively involved in area business, arts and charity work. He is past president of the Southern Methodist University Alumni Association, a former Entrepreneur of the Year and a member of the Texas Business Hall of Fame. In addition, he currently serves as chairman emeritus of Henry S. Miller Companies and as director of the Northern Trust Bank of Texas. He was founding president of the Dallas Opera, past president of the Dallas Symphony and vice chairman of the Dallas Ballet.
