Chris Santuae
Executive Director

Chris Santuae serves as the Executive Director of Edgemere, Texas’ premier CCRC. Chris has led teams to achieve efficiencies and attain high levels of service through adherence to six sigma principals.

Previously, Chris joined Seniority, Inc. as Vice President of Culinary Services and Hospitality. In this role, he was responsible for Dining Services operations, new dining additions and renovations, menu programming, vendor compliance, and talent identification and selection.

A creative, enthusiastic and thoughtful leader, Chris has more than 25 years of executive experience in the hospitality industry. He quickly recognizes opportunities for successful market trends and uses an engaging, supportive leadership style to develop and execute the best plans for successful ideas and programs.

Chris has worked in senior living, hotels and resorts, restaurants, clubs, timeshares and the acquisition arenas. Having opened or refurbished over 30 operations across four continents, his organizations have received international recognition for service excellence and innovation. His ability to creatively address operations’ challenges has consistently resulted in higher service scores and more profitable operations that address the needs of all stakeholders.

Chris has extensive experience in the dynamic environments of expanding companies and has repeatedly succeeded. Chris is known for developing innovative strategies and high-functioning teams that exceed operational and financial goals.

Chris’s passions include watching his son and daughter succeed while holding his wife’s hand.  He also enjoys good food with friends and family, and watching his Colorado Buffaloes rise from the ashes.

Chip Brownlee
Director of Health Services

Chip Brownlee joined Edgemere in January of 2016 as Director of Health Services. He is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and brings more than 12 years of leadership and health care experience in the senior living industry. Prior to joining Edgemere, he worked for senior living communities in Houston, Dallas, and Kansas City. He graduated with an undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University.

Alex Gonzalez
Director of Resident Services

Alex has worked at Edgemere for eight years in various roles and has continued to advance and assume new responsibilities. Prior to his role as Director of Resident Services, Gonzalez served as supervisor of the Edgemere dining room. In that role, he was responsible for leading the service teams in the dining rooms for both independent living and health care. As Director of Resident Services, Gonzalez oversees the housekeeping and laundry departments.

Wesley Helms
Food and Beverage Director

Wesley has managed some of the most popular restaurants in Dallas. He understands the desires of his patrons. He’s a great observer and knows how to put ideas into action. Under his leadership, our residents’ dining experiences are enhanced by introducing new menu items and fun event opportunities.

Prior to joining Edgemere, Helms served as the general manager of Lark on the Park. He was responsible for hiring and training the opening team members of the high-end Dallas restaurant. He invigorated non-peak sales nights by planning and promoting specialty beer and wine dinners with craft brew masters and winemakers.

Helms also spent many years managing the popular Design District restaurant, Meddlesome Moth. While there, he increased sales, was responsible for creating and updating the beverage program and was in charge of overseeing the entire restaurant operation.

“I am very excited to be a part of the team at Edgemere,” said Helms. “Edgemere already has a stellar reputation, and I look forward to leading them into the next generation of dining services. I understand the importance of creating an enjoyable dining experience, and I want to make sure every time the residents or guests sit down to eat, they leave satisfied with a smile on their faces.” 

Victor Jaime
Head Chef

Victor Jaime's comprehensive knowledge of international flavors and an innovative approach to help set the stage for a customized dining experience take Edgemere's dining operations to the next level of cuisine and service.

Prior to joining Edgemere, Jaime served as executive chef for the Magnolia Hotel in Dallas. He has more than 22 years of experience in developing progressive and inventive selections for the menus of four- and five-star hotels, as well as resorts and restaurants in the United States, Mexico and France.

“I am very excited to be a part of the team at Edgemere,” said Jaime. “I am experienced in preparing unique fare influenced by culturally diverse regions around the globe, and I enjoy bringing my own flair to Edgemere while providing the fine dining experience residents look forward to each and every day.”

Mark Blankenship
Maintenance Director

Mark joined Edgemere in 2005 as Maintenance Director, bringing 19 years of maintenance experience to his position. In late 2006, Mark was appointed chairperson of the Plant Operations Task Force for Greystone Communities, Inc. In 2008, Mark was named to the Plant Operations Task Force for Senior Quality Lifestyles Communities (SQLC) projects in the state of Texas.
